長達9天的農曆春節年假，對於患有糖尿病、高血壓以及腎臟病等患者是一大考驗，不但要定期服藥，飲食更不能輕忽。中國醫藥大學附設醫院營養師陳子玲呼籲，病患最好在長假來臨前先請教醫師或營養師，除了先備藥，最好也遵照飲食原則。
陳子玲說，糖尿病患要注意糖分及澱粉類的攝取量，如食用芋頭、玉米、番薯、綠豆、紅豆等可轉化成澱粉熱量的食物，要記得減少米食攝取。
台中榮總中醫師蔡嘉一指出，糖尿病患隨病程演變也可能併發高血壓、心血管或腎臟病，因而在鹽份的攝取也要留心，他建議用八角、桂枝等香料調味。
至於心血管疾病、高血壓、腎臟病患，鹽分攝取一定要小心，過油、過鹹都不建議，醃漬食品高鹽份，最好不要用，另外堅果類高油脂也應少吃。另外腎臟病患者豆類製品也要留心。
至於有慢性肝炎、或是肝硬化的患者，年節期間最好是別碰酒，以免增加肝臟負擔。
小明在校動不動就生氣，動作粗魯，一玩起來就豁出去，動作很大而弄痛同學，有時候會要別人照著他的規矩玩耍或做事，較我行我素，惹得大家不想跟他同一組，小明心裡也很難過卻也無可奈何，於是個性變得陰鬱起來。
問診之後發現，孩子自小一開始就容易健忘，需要大人提醒要帶什麼或要做什麼事情，讀書是學過就忘，文具用品常常不見，容易分心或轉移注意力。原來孩子早就受到『注意力不集中過動症』(簡稱過動兒)的荼毒，讓人以為他是故意心不在焉或是調皮。這類小孩子的口頭禪是「好無聊喔」！他們的身體似乎精力旺盛地想要動來動去，卻亂無章法。
過動兒是很天真的、沒有心機的，想到什麼就做什麼，沒法養成「停看聽」的習慣，也無法慎思熟慮地計畫好每一件事情，這跟「額葉」功能失調有關。
過動兒的型態分成三種：發呆型、過動衝動型和混合型。發呆型的孩子較被大人忽略，因為不太有嚴重的問題行為出現，反倒是過動型和混合型的孩子會因為行為太干擾而被老師建議帶來就診。
過動兒第一線用藥是利他能（ritalin），它能改善大腦神經傳導速度，提高大腦工作效率，促進專心和學習。所以大部分的孩子服用之後，會主動唸書和檢查作業和考卷，出錯率下降，干擾行為減少，人際關係也會改善。常見的副作用是胃口變差、心跳變快、腹痛、焦躁感、頭痛頭暈，其中前兩種較常見，尤其是午餐食量可能明顯變少，但不用擔心的是，孩子晚餐只要吃的營養健康，應該不會影響身高。若胃口實在太差，也可改成長效藥丸「專思達」，成分和「利他能」一樣，但外觀不同，其副作用會因為血中濃度慢慢增加的緣故而減少。家長其實不必因噎廢食，因為擔心藥物副作用而延遲就醫，反而輸在起跑點，且增加孩子拒學的可能，其實早期發現早期治療，效果更好。

一名70歲的婦人視力很好，眼皮卻很垂。白天用力睜眼，勉強可以生活；傍晚時，眼睛疲勞、眼皮下垂，必須以手撐著眼皮看電視。手撐久了會累，她就拿膠紙將眼皮黏在額頭。
媳婦不忍婆婆受苦，帶她來整形。醫師說：「切除贅皮可以改善沈重的眼皮。」但是婆婆很擔心，害怕外人笑她老了還割雙眼皮，要求千萬不要替她美容，她只要眼睛睜得開，不想割雙眼皮！
類似的罪惡感存在於每個老年性眼皮整形的病人，老年人的生活形態固定，周遭親朋好友眾多，無法接受容貌變動，偏偏東方人熟知的眼皮整形多是割雙眼皮，而去贅皮手術的傷口也在雙眼皮的皺褶，容易讓人誤會。許多老年人因而寧願忍受沈重的眼皮，不敢去整形。
眼皮是人類身體上皮膚最薄的部位，缺乏皮下脂肪，上下眼皮只靠內外側眥韌帶（粗細與橡皮筋相同）固定於眼眶，眼皮一天眨動無數次，加上風吹日曬、地心引力的摧殘，眼皮可以說是人類身體老得最早的部位。
一般而言，25歲出現眼袋，30歲出現魚尾紋，35歲眼尾下垂，40歲贅皮增加，此後每況愈下。當額頭肌或提眼肌還有力氣時，眼睛能夠睜開，當眼皮重到這兩個肌肉提不動時，眼球就被遮蓋，視野變小、視物困難，甚至形成生活障礙。
老年性眼皮整形除了傷口在雙眼皮皺褶以外，與割雙眼皮是完全不同的手術。雙眼皮手術有「變臉」的效果，老年性眼皮整形以功能為目的，保留個人的特徵，去除老化的不便，與白內障手術、冠狀動脈手術一樣，都是對抗老化的醫療。

經營名揚遊艇公司的涂義福說，幸運的「島主」除免費搭乘遊艇登島外，還可在「八厘米蔚藍」小屋住宿，同時提供三餐加現撈海鮮消夜，外加免費飲料，還有夜釣小管，「歡迎到險礁來開轟趴，這裡保證不會吵到人」。

備註:本版面側欄加大語法比較適用二欄窄欄靠右~若要窄欄靠左需選用三欄再把更新日期單獨選在右方,再配合自行加入語法(如下所示加在語法最後)才能完整表現側欄 !
